Telangana: Municipal Councillor’s husband brutally murdered

Jagtial (Telangana), Aug 8 In a shocking incident, the husband of a Korutla Municipal Councillor was brutally murdered by unidentified assailants on Tuesday.
The victim has been identified as Lakshmi Rajyam (48). He was attacked with a sickle by the unidentified assailants, who arrived on two-wheelers, before swiftly fleeing the scene.
The unfortunate incident took place while Lakshmi Rajyam was enjoying a cup of tea at Kargil Chowrasta in Korutla town. He sustained critical injuries to his neck during the assault.
He was immediately rushed to the Government hospital in the vicinity for treatment; however,he tragically succumbed to his injuries while undergoing medical care.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is currently in progress.
