Gangtok, Apr 29 (UNI) Sikkim Chief MinisterPS Tamang has handed over Reshmi PrasadAlley awards to filmmaker Ugen Chopel andauthor Madhu Sudan for their contribution toarts and literature.
Tamang was the chief guest at the awardsceremony on Friday.
The awards have been Instituted by PragyaPratishtan.
Late Reshmi Alley, born in Assam in 1898, is credited with having initiated efforts to introduceNepali language in schools in 1920. He was a teacher at the Nepali Boys School here
