The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested three people, including a Regional Officer of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in Bangalore, for allegedly taking bribes. The complaint stated that Prashant Kumar, the Regional Officer, along with two others named Prithvi Raj and Ravi, demanded Rs 15,000 as a bribe. Later, they lowered the amount to Rs 12,000 to issue a Censor Certificate for a movie directed and produced by the complainant, which needed minor subtitle corrections.

The CBI set up a plan and caught the accused while they were asking for and accepting the bribe of Rs 12,000. During a search at the Regional Officer’s place, the CBI found and recovered Rs 3 lakh.
