Sensex Soars More Than 1000 Points

On Monday, the BSE Sensex surged by 1026 points to reach 68,507.25, marking a new high during the opening session. This jump came after the BJP performed better than expected in recent assembly elections.

Similarly, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) increased by 311 points to reach 20,578.90. Stocks such as Bankex, Realty, and Technology showed strength in early trading.

Throughout the day, the Sensex reached a high of 68,557.82 points and a low of 68,274.47 points. Meanwhile, the Nifty reached a high of 20,602.50 points and a low of 20,507.75 points.

The Mid Cap stocks rose by 0.92%, and Small Cap stocks increased by 0.90%.

Among the gainers were ICICI Bank, rising by 2.93% to Rs 974.05, NTPC increasing by 2.88% to Rs 276.80, SBI rising by 2.65% to Rs 587, L&T by 2.57% to Rs 3272, and M&M by 2.59% to Rs 1668.90.”
