Hyundai enhances customer safety measures

Chennai, May 5 (UNI) Passenger car makers Hyundai Motor India Limited
(HMIL) today announced the standardization of 3-point seatbelt and seat
belt reminder for all seats across its entire model line up, as part of
enhancing customer safety.
Company Chief Operating Officer Tarun Garg said “Customer safety is our
utmost priority and we have been the forerunners in standardization of
safety features.”
“At Hyundai, we are committed to consistently elevate the safety standards
of our product line-up and thus, in-sync with Indian Government’s direction,
we have upgraded our full range model line-up with 3-point seatbelt and
seatbelt reminder for all seats as standard offering”, he said, according a
HMIL release here today.
“We firmly believe that Safety feature standardization will offer superior
protection for our customers”, he added.
On Airbags standardization, the release said in addition to the Hyundai
TUCSON & Hyundai KONA, the standardization of 6 airbags was extended
to CRETA, ALCAZAR & IONIQ 5. Also, Hyundai VENUE was upgraded with
4 Airbags as standard on major volume variants.
The Grand i10 NIOS & AURA were also offered with First-in-Segment 4
Airbags as standard.
The all-new Hyundai VERNA redefined safety benchmarks in the segment
with 6 Airbags as standard, it said.
