Fire breaks out at AIIMS in Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 7 A fire broke out on the second floor of AIIMS main building in Delhi on Monday, Delhi Fire Service said.
According to DFS, the fire broke out on the second floor of the old Rajkumari OPD building. The fire department received a call from the emergency ward of AIIMS Delhi.
Responding to the call, police staff reached at the place of incident and the place was immediately cordoned off.
A total of thirteen fire tenders, five PCR Vans & ERV alongwith 30 Local Police personnel and three CATS Ambulance, team of DDMA immediately reached at the spot and doused the fire,Delhi Police said.
A Team of Hauz Khas Police Station along with fire department team inspected the place and it was found that the fire was originated in the store room at second floor which was closed sincelong.
The immediate response of police staff and other emergency services is that the fire was controlled and no injury or casualty was reported so far, police said.
