China helped Egypt launch a new satellite called MISRSAT-2 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on Monday. This satellite, carried by a Long March-2C rocket, will be used by Egypt for things like studying land, water, agriculture, and more.
MISRSAT-2 marks a big partnership between China and Egypt in high-tech aerospace. This launch is a significant moment in the space cooperation between the two countries, says the China National Space Administration.
This launch was the 499th flight of the Long March rocket series. Along with MISRSAT-2, two other satellites, Starpool 02-A and Starpool 02-B, were also sent into space at the same time for remote sensing.
