Kabul, Aug 19 Afghan authorities have implemented 3,575 development projects across the country in the past year, a local TV quoted the Ministry of Economy as reporting.
According to TOLOnews, the projects worth 1.9 billion U.S. dollars were in the health,agriculture, transportation and energy sectors.
“This year, we’re considering more development plans. The plan includes building roads, dams,and other infrastructure in several industries, including agriculture. Compared to the previous year, more funds will be spent and there will be transparency,” TOLOnews quoted the Afghan Caretaker government’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid as saying Friday evening.
Notably, the country’s construction of new dams and other water projects is underway. The TOLOnews TV reported on Friday that the Ministry of Energy and Water had allocated 3.7billion afghanis (43.5 million U.S. dollars) to implement 411 projects for water management in the impoverished country.
