Moscow, Sep 5 Around 40 flights were delayed at Moscow airports of Vnukovo,Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo on Tuesday amid information about attempted drone strikes in Russia, according to the schedule service of the Russian IT giant Yandex.
Earlier in the day, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that Russian air defense forces had destroyed drones in the Kaluga and Moscow regions that were trying to attack Moscow Overnight. The mayor said later that another drone in the Tver region was destroyed while flying toward the Russian capital, with no casualties or damage reported.
As of 5:25 a.m. Moscow time [02:25 GMT], 24 flights were delayed and two more canceled at Moscow airport Vnukovo.
