New Delhi, Aug 31 Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury’s suspension from the Lower House was revoked on Wednesday After the committee adopted a resolution recommending revocation of suspension after he appeared before it.
The suspension of Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury,MP from the services of the House which was effected on 10.8. 2023 till the submission of the Report by the Committee of Privileges, has been revoked with effect from 30.8.2023, notification by the Lok Sabha Secretariat said.
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury made certain remarks in the Lower House which had led to his suspension from the House on the last day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament.
Earlier in the day, Chowdhury appeared before the Parliament’s Privileges Committee to record his statement in connection with his suspension from the Lok Sabha.
