New Delhi, May 9 A film that went onto make the biggest impact in 2015 and captured the hearts of audiences, ‘Piku’ on Monday marked eight years of it release.
The film that explored the bitter-sweet bond shared between father-daughter won massive praise for its performances and also went down as one of Deepika Padukone’s career’s finest.
Considering how the film truly showcased the superstar’s prowess as a performer in a real and relatable manner, ‘Piku’ won Deepika several accolades but also left her with many memories.
Recounting the connection she shares with the film, Deepika took to social media to pen a heart felt note on the film that has turned eight today.
“It’s been 8 years since this gem of a movie released with these 2 very special people. And if I could relive this experience all over again, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Irfan (Khan) I miss you. Amitabh Bachchan, Shoojit Sircar, Juhi Chaturvedi I love you. To everyone who made this film possible, thank you for your energy,” she wrote.
Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film stars late Irrfan Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika in the lead.
