Islamabad, Apr 30 (UNI) Pakistan’s under-19 national cricket team is all set to start its tour to Bangladesh with a match against the hosts on Sunday, said a statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board on Saturday.
The Pakistani team, which reached Bangladesh on Wednesday, is scheduled to take on the host side in the four-day match starting on Sunday at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
After that, both sides will feature in five 50-over matches and a Twenty20 from May 6 to 17.
Pakistan lost a series of 50-over matches to Bangladesh 2-1 at home but ended the Twenty20series in 1-1 last November.
Pakistan captain Saad Baig said: “We had a two-day preparation session in Chattogram, which allowed us to acclimatize to the conditions and get accustomed to the challenges of playing in Bangladesh.”
The captain added that the Pakistani side had prepared well at home by working on players’ skills and strategies for the series.
“We have a talented group of players who have worked hard in the lead-up to the series. I expect each of them to step up and contribute to the team’s success,” added the captain.
